Hello!
I'm Abdirashid Omar, a Vision AI researcher and data science graduate student at Kookmin University in Seoul, South Korea. My work sits at the intersection of computer vision, remote sensing, geospatial analytics, and data-driven public impact.
I build reproducible AI and data systems that turn satellite imagery, public datasets, text data, and urban signals into models, maps, dashboards, and decision-support insights. My projects include bi-temporal change detection, flood impact mapping, public urban data dashboards, text analytics, and low-resource NLP dataset preparation.
My research background focuses on deep learning for remote sensing and computer vision, while my applied work focuses on clean data pipelines, geospatial analysis, dashboard design, and visual storytelling.
I am currently completing my M.S. in Data Science / Big Data and preparing for roles in Vision AI, remote sensing AI, geospatial analytics, and data analysis.
